Play2Give and Sustainable Didcot are organising the fayre on behalf of Didcot Town Council and their aim is to bring the community together to enjoy a day of fun.

Play2Give (P2G) was set up in September 2007 by Andrew Baker. Andrew was born with a brain injury and treated at the Oxford hospitals, undergoing brain surgery in 2001, aged 12. It was the help and support that he was given that inspired him to form P2G.

Play2Give - Changing, Transforming & Saving Lives across Oxfordshire was set up initially as a one off football tournament event, however P2G continued to grow and in 2012 became a fundraising organisation. Run by volunteers, the group have gone on to raise over £73,000 to date.

Charities supported by P2G include the John Radcliffe Children's Hospital & Ronald McDonald House to Headway Oxfordshire and many more.

Amanda Mann

I volunteer with Play 2 Give, and within my full time job with Soll Leisure I do events organising, therefore I have become very involved in organising the Didcot Summer Fayre this year and I hope you all enjoy the day.

Didcot Town Council

Didcot Town Council sits in the lowest tier of local government, which means that it is closest to its community. The Council is made up of 21 elected members who live or work in Didcot and who collectively make decisions on the running of the Town Council. The Town Council is responsible for Didcot's allotments, cemetery, a number of parks, play areas and outside spaces. It also represents the views of residents on planning applications and other matters to other statutory bodies, and coordinates a number of civic events for the Town, including the Town Fayre.
